It's going.

I'm suddenly very tired, so this'll probably be rather disjointed.

My grandparents decided to stop in Savannah on the way to Florida. While at dinner with them at a teppan yaki place, Matt and I realized that the day after was our 1 year of datingness anniversary. We decided to do sushi this weekend to celebrate. Neither of us have gotten to have any since the summer before last.

I baked cookies. Coconut chocolate chip again. Made a vat of risotto Sunday that we've been living off of since. Making tandoori-style-flavored chicken tikkas tonight. Trying out a recipe from my book that's basically Indian home fries as a side. Marsala tomorrow night, alfredo the next night. I know that for a lot of people, having to do something all the time makes them lose interest in it. Having to cook or help prepare all the meals has merely made me do more experimentation and enjoy cooking more. I mean c'mon, the only bread we eat now is homemade!

Only typing this because my comp. art class got canceled. Still got massive amounts of stuffs to do; not having class actually set me back on my work for that project because I don't have InDesign on this computer (and haven't been able to acquire a functional non-virus version). Probably going to be spending the entire afternoon at the library tomorrow in order to work on it and the research paper for my drawing class. Yeah, I know, wth, a research paper for a studio drawing class? Oy.

Might go to church Sunday. Another research paper, this one for art history where it makes more sense, on the local cathedral. What better way to evaluate how well the architecture serves the diocese than attending a service? Suppose those years of Catholic school will come in mild handy finally. Well, the old fashioned grammar and syntax instruction has always come in handy and served me well. Just the religious instruction and mandatory Mass attendance hasn't yet.

Need to: finish making a skirt for the comp art project, photographing various steps; draft out a Rachel-size sloper so I can make an actual pattern then make a mockup of half of an outfit for the final project. Planning to make a portfolio thing for the last project; can't hurt, I figure, to have a booklet I can hand out. Then I need to find a place where schedules overlap so I can do a test fit, then make the actual garment, then make the matching bustled skirt, then find time with again overlapping schedules to photograph the outfit on its model. Gotta revise two drawings. Gotta prod the bureaucracy on that exemption thing. Need to clean the kitchen counter, sweep the kitchen floor, switch the laundry, cut back the overgrown garden... and I think I need a nap now.
