Need to contact Kisame, or his mun? You can do so here!
Please specify IC or OOC in the subject line, and the method of contact. Some idea of when it's happening in-game would be nice, too.
If you'd rather an AIM conversation, the OOC screen name to contact is Infinity Pikachu, but for in-game conversations, I'm cool with hopping onto Kisame's IC

With any luck, you won't have enough time to get the hang of it; I plan to be back before noon tomorrow. You'd better find a few good ones, because I'll be looking forward to them, now that you've told me.
[Kisame laughs; sure, it might be a little juvenile, but he does appreciate the sentiment. It feels shockingly good to have people to come home to. To know that he's wanted, that he's missed. It's not something he often gets to feel, much less so openly; he's always just sort of assumed that Itachi likes his presence, though there isn't really too much to prove that outright. For the past ten years, he's been following the man around--ever since he left Kirigakure, Itachi has been the closest thing to a home he's had. (Except with her. If that was really real. Which he's not so sure of either way, anymore.)]

I'm sure I can find more than a few. I'll be sure to pass the message along to Itachi, too. Between the two of us, I bet we can come up with a bunch!
[ It's late and getting later, but she doesn't want to let him go just yet. (Never has, never will.) She should (let him go); he needs to sleep and so does she, but he won't be in the bedroom tonight. She wants to enjoy his company at least a little while longer. ]
I take it Nagato enjoyed the party? You certainly seem to be in a good mood.

[It can be frustrating sometimes, that soft, muted communication that seems so different from what he's personally inclined to do, but he has grown accustomed to it--as maddening as it is, it can be pleasant and satisfying to sift through all the ambiguity and silence and veiled meanings to find that kernel of truth and reveal it. That makes it all worth it--and it doesn't hurt that such subtleties make what tokens he does recieve all the more richly rewarding and meaningful. (They're so different from each other.... He had always been so much bolder and freer with his words and deeds around her. Everything had been in the open air; he had looked for responses and gotten them, given them in his turn. Those deeds weren't hidden; he didn't have to work so hard to attain them, or to understand them. Did that mean they were bigger? More freely given? Were they more significant, or less? Were they worth less? How did someone go about comparing things like this?)]
[It doesn't matter. It doesn't bear thinking about. It doesn't mean anything, really--not right now, anyway. Kisame tells himself this, acts as though he believes it, and sets the thoughts loose to drift on the currents and tides of his mind. They'll be brought back eventually, he knows, flotsam and jetsam beaching itself to be inspected once again, when he had the time and convenience to do so. But right now, he lets them disappear, and smirks.]
Even beyond what the gods did to him, he seemed to be enjoying himself just fine. Of course, I imagine he enjoyed himself even more after the party--but mind you, I wasn't exactly keen to go and see for myself. After all, it was my idea to do this to begin with, so I wouldn't want to let the guests get stuck with clean up duty or anything, much less the guest of honor. [Not to mention he's stayed at Pain's house before, and is unfortunately more than familiar with the sounds of Pain fucking. There's really no need to go and check on something like that, anyway.]

[ And, happy though she may be that Kisame did not witness and, or--more importantly--partake in any sexual festivity, she probably shouldn't have said so just now (or at all, for that matter, because they aren't married and he isn't hers. He's free to observe and participate in whatever manner of sexual activity he wants. She has no say in the matter and it shouldn't bother her. Shouldn't make her chest tighten to the point that it's painful and her knuckles turn white.) Her grip on the Hitomi, previously relaxed, is stressed, like the sudden whirl of her thoughts. ]
That Nagato enjoyed himself!
[ She bites back a too-fake, too shrill laugh at the very last minute. Oh, but that was close. Too close. It's stupid that she should even have to make a recovery like this to begin with, that she should slip on false memories and fabricated feelings and confuse herself again (and again and again and again. Guarding against something so natural, that she had come to accept in some fabricated reality and seems so right...
Gods, she doesn't want to.
But she doesn't want to live a lie either. Sifting through sand, she searches for grains of truth and holds fast to them, building on all around them. This is the easiest way to recover in most instances like this, what with Kisame knowing her so well. (He can read her; he knows her inside and out so very well...) ]
I'm sure he appreciated it, too! The party, I mean.
[ And here, she pauses. ]
You weren't the only one on clean-up duty, were you?
[ If she could just keep the conversation rolling, maybe he wouldn't notice and call her out on her awkward behavior. How she'd tightened after her first statement, how her smile had become confused... just less than picture perfect is what she needs to be, real and contradictory. ]

[Kisame can agree with that much without any trouble, tone relaxing back into a more natural, casual banter. He can't help but raise an eyebrow at her seeming enthusiasm about this fact, but chooses not to call her out on it; he turns it over in his mind instead, thoughtfully examining the words while he lets his mouth run on. It's something he's quite used to doing with Itachi, holding his tongue and considering his partner's words to understand them better, letting things remain understated and nuanced and even simply unsaid. It's almost comforting how easy it is to be able to fall back on the habit.]
I mean, I'd be a little worried if he didn't, just personally. That would kind of defeat the purpose of the whole thing, you know? But yeah, you might say that. [Pain and Konan had taken off for couples time, Deidara and Sasori had left together too, and.... well, Hidan was Hidan. Heh.]

Sorry about that. I would have helped, but....
[ But she is in Kirigakure and he is in Amegakure, which shouldn't bother her as much as it does. Pausing, she glances to one side. ]
I guess it's getting late, too, huh?
[ Here.
There.
It is getting late and she should probably let him go soon... ]

Hey, don't worry about it--who the hell would make you travel a half-hour each way just to come help clean a mess up? Especially at this hour.
[Kisame glances outside; the night is still and humid, the warmth of the day still lingering, and very dark. It's always dark at night in this place, when candles and actual fires are the only source of artificial lighting. Kind of makes a guy feel isolated, no matter how close they are to another house; Kisame leans his shoulder against the windowsill and tries to pick out familiar constellations, flashing a smile at the Hitomi.]
Don't stay up too late on my account, huh? Wouldn't want to tire you out too much, even remotely. [Because it's so much more fun to tire her out while he's right there he knows how vigorous her training is, after all--there's no need to upset that balance. Especially not while she's watching Itachi.]

I'm not the one who has a trip to look forward to in the morning.
[ That she can think of a few people who might make her travel a half-hour each way to help clean a mess up goes without saying -- verbally, at least. They aren't present in Kannagara and she would just as soon forgo a temporary bout of nostalgia. His words, though, make her pause, if only for a moment. Although she knows what he meant ]
I guess you're right, though. Not that I think you could over the Hitomi, but I do have to make breakfast before my morning run.
[ She runs her thumb lightly, unconsciously along the edge of the Hitomi's screen and smiles softly. ]
Make sure you get some rest before you set out, okay?
