[Sasori wonders at the worry that has been gnawing away at him ever since he spoke to Leader, and found out that Itachi had not reported in.

Sasori had never been particularly close to Itachi; indeed, they barely spoke at all before. But he feels that perhaps they have cultivated somewhat of an understanding since his arrival here. Even so, he wonders if it's merely the false emotions that have been plaguing him that are truly fueling his concern now.

...No. Even if some of these feelings may be false, it doesn't matter. The bond of camaraderie that Sasori has with Itachi is real. The gods clearly tried to confuse them, to make them treat the false bonds that were imposed upon them all the same as the real ones they already had, to weaken their real ties. He won't allow that to happen.

Still, he's a little uncertain of how to go about this. Itachi must be having some difficulty, considering his relationship with his brother. Sasori isn't particularly good at comforting, and doesn't even know where to start with such troubles, as he'd severed his own problematic ties long ago.

Perhaps it's best to just leave such issues to Kisame, and simply take a more professional approach. Even so, he's still hesitant.]

Itachi...

I have spoken to Leader-sama, and he told me that he has not yet heard from you, or Kisame.

...[Are you all right?]

He intends to call a meeting in the near future.

[I was] we were [worried] speculating that you may have been captured. You should contact [me] him, when...when you are able.

The rest of us who were in Konoha escaped safely. Leader-sama, Konan, Deidara and myself are in Ame now. [You, and Kisame, are welcome to join us if you don't wish to be alone.]
