4th of July

Cousin Debbie's friend, Gail, hosted the 4th at her house in the country, with a band, a donation bar, fireworks and a barbecue! This was my 3rd year going there with Mom, and Uncle Cool Ran! Last year, Tiffany came, and Thomas and Autumn, and my high school friend, Tonya Tylock, is related to Gail!

As I looked through Facebook Memories, I saw plenty of years at the parade and fireworks 🎆! Living downtown, I could just walk there! One year, we went to my favorite spot, an outdoor chapel by the marina. My cousin, Gail, lives at Lakeshore Towers and has a beautiful view.

Growing up, we were Up North at the cabin for the 4th with the cousins! Gordon had good neighbor days, and I've been in their parade with my brother as 🤡 clowns! We'd have a pancake breakfast in town, and watch the fireworks at night. During the day, we could swim in the lake off the pier, ride canoes, or explore the woods! My grandparents had their Mallard Camper, and we'd have tents. Now, the cousins have grown up and families of our own, so people usually go up at different times. I code a visit soon with my brother, who I have been going up with every summer to see our grandparents, as well as my dad and Dawn, who live in Superior.

I had paid time off last night for the 4th, and after Gail's, I drove with Randy in his orange Mustang! We stopped at West Lawn and he showed me where his grave will be. We also visited Granny and Grandpa Post, and a couple nearby shared some 💐 flowers for them! Back at their old house, where Randy now lives, we looked at the garden that I helped plant, and we saw a cardinal, symbolic of a loved one visiting! Randy also helped with my bike.

Tonight, I work 3rd at Sail, and I love having the freedom to choose when I sleep so that I could attend the 4th festivities if I chose. I also FB memories of 🥩 steak cookouts with Tiffany, or with Mom! Thomas and I cuddled this morning, went in the hot tub at Razor, and now are at Al
