Have we met? We have. It was about five years ago. You were trying out Blue is for Boys and between the Wednesday matinee and evening performances, I was in the Union Oyster House. You came in and sat at the only empty table, which happened to be right next to mine. Well, naturally, I was thrilled and in a burst of girlish impetuitousness, I turned to you and blurted out a stream of totally incoherent compliments about how much I admired your work. You were ery nice, listened politely, and said "thank you." Still trembling from the encounter, I turned away. I was drinking hot chocolate, you know, the kind with the small marshmallows floating on the top? I had just taken a gulp when you turned to me and said "And what do you do?" The hot chocolate went down the wrong way. I choked slightly, and as I turned to you, I realised that I has small marshmallows shooting out of my nose. You looked at me for a moment, and then, very gravely, you said "You know, not many people can do that."
