Ass Kicker
I did really well on the Balkan History test I took today. I didn't even have to stop and think about my answers, I studied so goddamn much I blew through the whole thing. My British Lit. test is iffy, because the grade will strictly depend on whether or not my teacher thinks my interpretations of the poems are bizarre and nonsensical enough. Friday I have my Syntax midterm, which will be pretty miserable. I'm so damn lost in that class, but I don't feel so bad about it. Today I spoke with some of the other undergraduate students, and they all said they were lost as hell too. Most of the people in the class are grad students, well I don't know if they outnumber us or not, but they're very vocal. I understand bits of the material, but I'm having a hell of a time trying to tie it all together....
I just can't study anymore tonight, no I simply must go to bed. I'm going to get very very very drunk on Friday. At some point I need to do some convention stuff,though I'm not totally sure what it is I need to do yet. I'm having visions of stuffed envelopes. Saturday my family will be hosting a little BBQ for my step-mother's birthday. Saturday night I'm going to see Elvis Costello at the HOB in NOLA. On Sunday I'm going to be an usher at the performance of Wole Soyinka's Samarkand (I'm sure I misspelled his name and/or the title of the work) It's at the new Shaw Center downtown. Student tickets are only $6, but I'll get in free. It should be really interesting. A procession of costumed dancers and musicians is going to preform as they walk downtown towards the Shaw center. Next week I'm going to try to finish my paper for the Lit class early, so I can turn it in for suggestions.

I'll go to Tampa to visit my mom, friends and family there. There will be many hours spent on the beach and at the pool. I have to write a paper for my spanish class while I'm there, but luckily my Salvadoreno step-dad will be right there to help :) Hopefully we'll have some time to chat in Spanish while I'm there.
