Repairs!

May 27, 2010 20:33

*Rather than worrying about what happened in the mission, Kira is helping the repair teams with the damage that was done to the Tower and the Gespenst by Lamia;s takeover. As such you can pretty much run into him anywhere around as he repairs stuff. He is in his SEED state however, if anyone cares.*

*Cagalli knew the battle was happening, but as always only the bare minimum of units were deployed, leaving most of the GDF on stand-by in case another horrible disaster cropped up.

As soon as it was over though she ran for the hangar, having heard that the mission was a bit of a clusterfuck.*

Hey! Kira!

Hello, if you are inquiring about the mission. It was rather complicated.

Wh-*Oh. SEED. It must have been pretty complicated.*

...if you don't wanna talk about it right now...

No I am fine talking about it. What would you like to know?

I wanna hear what happened out there from someone who was there... that's all.

The DC remnants attacked us calling themselves the Neo DC. But in reality they were a front for a group called the Shadow Mirrors. I would assume they are from another dimension? But I can't be certain.

In any case Lamia Loveless and Axel Almer were apparently seeds planted here by the Shadow Mirrors and that came to fruition. Lamia threatened the base with a huge explosion, as well as a bomb which is apparently somewhere on the base still and I tried to talk her down.

A bunch of other people were fighting, but I am not certain what happened aside of the fact that Lamia eventually decided to side with us in the end and self destructed herself to defeat the Shadow Mirror leaders. Then they retreated.

A number of robots shaped lik Kurtis' human form were also present, but they were of little importance.

*She takes it all in silently, flinching at the mention of what happened to Lamia. After a moment, she speaks.*

...so Axel's an enemy and Lamia... she could still be alive, right?

Technically improbably. But the GDF is not a place where I would base my expectations on probability.

Yeah... I didn't really know her all that well, but from the times I talked to her she seemed nice. Quiet and a bit over-analytical, but nice.

I cannot say I am surprised at the defection. But I am slightly surprised it was Lamia and not Axel who came through in the end.

Axel did seem like the last sort of person... but if he was a spy, he sure did a good job of hiding it.

I am not certain he was a spy, at least not of his own accord. His actions at the beginning of the battle were consistent with his previous ones but after that he changed quite a bit. Even his fighting style was not the same as it had been.

...he had amnesia before, right? If he was telling the truth about that... then something might have triggered his memories...

That is what I suspected yes. But this also means that his experiences with us were genuine. We may yet see him again, and if we do? I cannot say whether it will be as an ally, and enemy, or both.
