Two of them right outside my window have been making constant god-awful noise for the last hour and a half. I've finally given up and gotten out of bed.
I've been here nearly two years and they've never sqwaked outside my window like this before. I got up and looked at them hopping around in the tree insisting on continuing the racket. I tried clapping, yelling. They wouldn't relent. I swear if I had a BB gun I may have taken one of them out just to shut them up. One of them alone can raise their babies if needs be after all. I'm not one for killing birds for no reason, but this constant noise just outside my window was pissing me off.
Then I saw it.
Bigger, slower, moving behind the leaves and branches.
A bloody raccoon, apparently it's trying to get at their nest.
I'm really glad I didn't have that BB gun. I'd have felt like dirt if I'd had shot a crow because it was trying to defend it's nest.
Now, how to make the raccoon go away? (this is a rhetorical question)
