les adventures d'une petite fille

The events today:

My inclass essay, though horribly lacking any sort of flow, was very important to me.  I'm feeling quite zen about it all - the mark doesn't really matter anymore, I just said what completely needed to be said.

I faked my way through drama (memorization = zero), and sweet-talked my way out of my math test.  Improv was wacky indeed.

The walk home was fraught with danger - I'm convinced all the bus drivers on cambie are determined to do me in.  I was nearly run over, and completely drenched by the number 15, which was witnessed by two young men (eek).  The little scenario passed as follows:

Emily is puddled by crazed bus

Boy #1: Oooooooo.

Emily: Shit.

Boy #2 high-fives Emily

I also met a ladybug on the way home - almost killing my little friend (death by shoe), I decided to bring him home.  He explore my arm with interest until I managed to get him onto the rosebush.  Ideally, he will munch up the aphids that have been plaguing my poor flowers.  I've named him Alphonse.

My dear mere is cooking fettucine alfredo.  I plan to run afterwards - we'll see how that goes.

ladybugs, buses, school, young men
