Ste and I just nearly had to move to Ireland for a while. See, we were all supposed to leave this house at the end of June, but we haven’t exactly sorted a new place to live yet. This was because Darren didn’t have the money to move so we were waiting around for him. Last Tuesday, the landlord came round and said he had until the weekend to pay up the rent he owed for the past two or three months, and then to get out. That would leave us kind of homeless, none of Ste’s family or friends can take us in. That’s why we were thinking we’d have to up sticks to Ireland. Anyway, Darren’s pretty much broke since he lost his job in April so now he has to borrow money from his dad to take care of the problem. His father is taking out a loan. Darren managed to persuade the landlord to let us stay until the money comes through. We’ve arranged to go live with a few of Darren and Ste’s mates, but we have to wait for some of them to move out first so we can have their rooms, and that’ll take another couple of weeks. Ahh. Hopefully everything will work out in time.
I guess that’s all I wanted to say. Apart from I watched Wimbledon properly for the first time ever the other day, and that final was amazing. Never thought I’d say this, but sport actually isn’t that bad...
