(no subject)
I'm getting bad at updating this.
I didn’t get a high enough score on my assessment so I can’t get on the course I was enrolling on. Damn them! Now I have to try to find something else. And I haven’t seen any jobs going yet. To be fair I’ve just been keeping an eye out for notices in windows when I’m out buying things. When I told my mother I was looking for a job she said she was proud of me, and I felt I didn’t deserve that. So I’ll have a proper look starting next week, I’ll pluck up the courage to actually ask around. If I can’t find something within a month or two then I am likely to run very low on money by Christmas.
This block of flats is noisier than the one I was in last year. The other night, somebody upstairs played really loud, really shitty music until 5:00am. I couldn’t sleep and it just drove me mad. I wouldn’t even have minded so much if it was decent music. I hope it won’t be a regular thing.
On a positive note, I’ve met all my flatmates now and they’re all alright. Obviously I knew Shell and Chris... he got here on Thursday and we had a few days and nights of just hanging out and drinking. Shell came back from her holiday in Spain yesterday and she got here today. As for the others - Aaron is cool, and Peter seems nice, if a little shy. He’s come by a few times to leave stuff in but he hasn’t actually moved himself in yet. Ooh, I should mention that Aaron lived with Eimear last year until she changed to another flat. Her story was that her flatmates bullied her. When I asked about that, Aaron looked shocked and told me that she just went funny on them and started completely ignoring them. Sounds familiar.
I’ve been taking advantage of the fast internet connection I have here, by watching the entire first season of Heroes. It’s very good. Barry is jealous because he has to wait and watch it week-to-week.
