Happy

Well, as usual, you hear from me about once every 6 months, so here goes. Well, I don't remember what I said in my last entry, but in case you don't know, I quit working at the Med because I got a job as a biomedical engineer at the VA Medical Center of Memphis. Basically, it's a 2 year internship and the first year I train here at the VA in Memphis, and next August they are basically going to place me at another VA somewhere in the US where there is a distinct possibility that I will have to jump into being the Chief of Biomedical Engineering. So, that's pretty cool. I'm excited. And so far, I am absolutely loving this job and the people that I work with. In the spring, I will be doing a lot of traveling for training and whatnot, and that should be cool too.

Garfield is still chilling with me. He's the funniest cat ever. I actually live with 5 cats now, my sister Norma, and her boyfriend/almost fiance Mike. It can get crowded in the three bedroom apartment at times, but I have to say that I am really gonna miss it when I move away. Norma and Mike are so much fun, and we get along fabulously. I don't know what I will do when I move by myself. I've actually never lived alone I realized the other day. Except for Ireland. And I got depressed there. So, we'll see how I deal with the move. At least I'll have my cat. And he loves me to death. He's like a little man. :)

Speaking of man, however, in case you hadn't heard, James and I broke up. We just were in two different places in our lives, and we really grew apart. So, that happened. And it really was okay for both of us. I think we are both better off apart. I know that I am.

But, in other news, one fateful night, my friend Jeff invited me to go to the haunted corn maze with him and a group of his friends, and that's where I met my new boyfriend, Garrett. He is the sweetest, most amazing guy, and he treats me so awesome. I have so much fun with him, and he's so incredibly attractive. He's a mechanical engineer at Smith and Nephew here in Memphis, and one of the things I adore about him is that he's able to speak engineer with me. I didn't know how much I missed that until we went out. He's smart, funny, and just an overall great guy, and we get along fantastic. He also coaches wrestling for high school and middle school kids, and I've gone to a few of his matches and he's so good at coaching. And he really has a passion for it that you can see when he coaches. Basically, I've found a great guy. Thanks Jeff! Props to you!

Other than the above, not too much different. Got to see my family on Thanksgiving and that was really cool. And I actually have money to buy really good Christmas presents for everyone. So, Merry Chrima! (that's Memphis slang for Merry Christmas, btw) But, anyhow, I just thought I would throw an update up here to let everyone know that I am still in fact alive and that I am doing well. Well, with the exception of being sick for the past month and a half with sinus stuff. But, other than that, I'm really happy, things are looking up, and I love my life. :) Leave some comments and let me know how you all are doing as well. Holla!
