Ireland--- Woot

Alright, so I am in Ireland. For the past week or so, I have toured Europe with my dad and my older sister Norma, and that was a blast. We spent a couple of days in Paris, and I got to see the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Sacre Coeur (another cathedral), the Arch de Triomphe, as well as many other famous sights. Plus, I got to eat at a bunch of cute cafes, and practice using my French. I thought that Norma and I did fairly well with speaking French, so I was pretty satisfied. Unfortunately, though, I did not get to see the Louvre because apparently, everything in Paris is closed on Tuesdays, which as James so eloquently puts it is LAME. BUt oh well. So, after a couple days in Paris, we moved on to London where I was able to see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, the Big Ben, the Tower of London, as well as other really cool stuff. Unfortunately, though, I did not get to see the show that I wanted to watch, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (a comedy) because it had quit playing about a month before that. So that sucked dirty ass. But, that's okay. And then, we took a train and a ferry to get from London to Dublin, and we almost missed the train. *rolls eyes* We shouldn't have had that last beer, I suppose.

So, after we got to Dublin, we chilled in the bus station for a while until Daddy and Norma could check into their bed and breakfast, and then I took a shower and went to check in to my dorm for the next two weeks. It was pretty cool, but unfortunately I got a room to myself with no roommate, so that made it a bit harder to actually meet people, especially since most of these people are a bunch of snotty Northerners. In fact, the two girls that I actually have been hanging out with are from Georgia and North Carolina, how funny is that? But, that's okay.

So, yesterday, we went on a Guinness brewery tour, and that was really cool. I had a good time and all went well. Then, after the brewery tour, I came back here, and had the dinner, and that was pretty shitty. But, because Norma and Daddy hadn't left the country yet (they left today), they came and picked me up, and we went and hung out for a little while. So that was very cool.

Today, we went on a very cool tour of Malahide castle (http://www.historic.irishcastles.com/malahide.htm), and it was awesome. It was a bit away from Dublin, and so we took a bus and got to see the countryside of Ireland. It truly makes sense now why they call it the Emerald Isle. I've never seen countryside so green in my life. It was amazing. And then, after we took the tour of that really awesome castle, we went to a little fishing village on the English Channel known as Howth. It was also incredible, with a lot of cute shops as well as an incredible view of the sea as well as nearby mountains and hills. I'm telling you guys, it was just beautiful. Words don't do it justice, seriously. And then, when we got back, I took a nap for about 3 hours. I'm very tired over here, must be from the massive amount of travelling I have been doing. So, here I am, and classes start tomorrow, and I am pretty excited about that. I'm eager to have motivation to do something, plus I plan on walking around the city some when I get out of class at 1 in order to see some sights, and maybe hit some of the high points of Dublin. Then, this weekend, I am going to head to the outer parts of Ireland and see more countryside, and after that, I might be making another trip to London the following weekend. So basically, the next two weeks are going to be a blast. :)

Sorry for the super long update, but it had to be done. ;) Oh, and postcards are in the mail for many of you. Mike and Mary, I sent yours to my apartment for you to get because I couldn't think of your address, and you guys didn't e-mail it to me. :) Alright, Peace out, ya'll.
