A Red Picture
She laid on the ground still with no movement
She had been there for a day
Her corpse already rotting, because of the heat of the hot summer day, flooding into her kitchen
No one would be home until and hour later
Only a green grasshopper accompanied her in the light, but only to be devoured by a spider 5 minutes later
Hours later her carcass is being carried away into an ambulance and will later be taken to a morgue
Her sister cried in horror as to what she saw and was told by a police officer,
“She painted a picture…A red picture…A picture of sorrow and lonesome entirety,
She had painted the picture on her wrist…”
