(no subject)
My day today:
prescot, then camp verde, then sedona (oak creek kicked ass, so did rim rock!) and i have a migraine.... :p so sleep sounds very very good. oooooooooh guess what!! if you go outside and look for the brightest "star" in the sky, its really jupiter! its the only planet (besides venus, which cant be seen right now) that you can see in phoenix. ^^ its so pretty. i watched it all night on the way home, got to stare at the milky way and a blue star called aldebaron (i think thats how you spell it). oh and i saw the big dipper and found out how to find the north star using the big dipper. it kicked ass!
first we had to get into my grandfather's safety deposite box to see if he left nehind a will, no luck there. but we did find a bunch of stuff from the civil war that my grandfather's grandfather (on his mother's side), Warren E. Day, was a doctor in. we also found extremely old bifocals and a bunch of pocket watches and compasses that were from that time period too. and my grandfather was an engineer for the Santa Fe Railroad, so we found 2 gold medals in there as well. there were also 2 tie pins that had real gold nuggets from the alaskan gold rush on them. it was so awesome.
one of the pocket watches had an almost mother of pearl look to it, but in gold on the inside (where the numbers are) and it was beautiful!
