School assignment

This might look strange, so I'll explain. Our group is creating a fictitious website for a fictitious architectural design museum. The wiki we have for the site forces people to join before posting, so I'm putting an "EAD Museum Blog" here, behind a cut.

Welcome to Endeavors of Architectural Design!

Our mission is to highlight the talents of Columbia architects, architectural firms and styles and, to make them accessible to our community. To that end, the EAD Museum has a policy of collecting photographs, blueprints, notes and architectural drawings of Columbia structures and drawings, photographs and examples of architectural elements used in the various building periods. The goal is to engage present-day residents of Columbia, visitors, researchers and others who have an interest in southern architecture and period reconstruction, in the fine examples present in our capital city. In order to provide the broadest access, EAD intends to digitize the more popular elements of our collections and make them available on-line. We also welcome electronic submissions by our visitors and friends. See our contact page for submission information.

Visit our website! We welcome your feedback on design, images, and content. We hope that our collection of Columbia homes and buildings of historic interest will encourage you to see them. We have provided a Google map with the sites marked so you can plan your walking or driving route. Some of the homes are still private residences so we ask that you respect the privacy of those people who live there. If you have photographs of these locations that you would like to share, especially older photographs or artwork, please contact us.

And, as always, we appreciate your helpful hints, tips and opinions. Feel free to comment in our "Discussion" section.

Thank you,

The Staff of EAD
