Charlie makes good bait. At least Ana recognises and values that he survives the role. Charlie has a surprising amount of stuff tucked away in his brain, doesn't he? Everything from polar bear IQ to marksmanship to making baby carriers--where does he pick it all up? He may be a jack-of-trades-master-of-none, but everyone keeps looking at the master-of-none and forgeting how useful the jack-of-all part is.

"It made me want to see it go just a little bit further"--be careful what you wish for. At one point, the ending scene's conversation was so full of double entendres that I was afraid they were going to jump each other then and there. I kept looking at my word count and saying, "Guys, I don't want to do a two-parter...and this will never fly at the Fuselage, you know."

I'm glad you liked it. I'm hoping for more with the anti-Claire (good one!). I have an idea for keeping Michael from killing Ana and Libby, but there are so many things going on in the last few episodes of season 2 that I need to do some research to see where all the pieces will end up once it goes AU.

I think there's more Chana. I have two scenes: I know where Ana gets the gun and why she doesn't get shot with it, but I need to work out how to get to that scene and where to go from it. You have more experience with writing than I do; does this sort of thng happen to you? I often get just an image or a situation and then have to work out the fic to put around it. The germ of this one was that Charlie found Aaron because he was short enough to see under branches that blocked the others' sightline and I had to work out why Aaron was there &c. &c. Creepy and Pointless (current not-working title) started from a verse of a song that called up an image of Charlie bringing Aaron's crib to shore--only it was a different cradle.
