Name: Heiwajima, Kasuka
Fandom: デュラララララララララララララララララララララララララララァァァァァァァァァァァァ
History link: Here.
Age: 21
Canon point: After returning to Japan post-Cruizerfield filming, before meeting Ruri.

Personality: What little is seen of Kasuka is fairly static. He's shown as passive and soft-spoken, speaking only when he absolutely must and fairly unresponsive to his surroundings. He's collected, calm, and wears a perpetual deadpan expression that betrays none of his emotions or thoughts, giving him the appearance of being aloof and unapproachable. This likely only adds to his popularity in the public eye, as his utter lack of a public personality allows them to project whatever ideal they wish on him. And, to be perfectly honest, mystery sells.

What Kasuka outwardly projects isn't the sum of his being though. He grew into the habit of keeping himself composed under any situation as a child largely due to his brother's frequent outbursts, feeling the need to correct for Shizuo's inability to restrain himself somehow. So in spite of being outwardly stoic, he's a very thoughtful and considerate person and demonstrates this in his actions. His career has also led him to become an extremely private person, as he's used to having to dodge prying personal questions about his life and family, who he remains extremely tight-lipped on to protect their privacy.

To Kasuka, nothing is more important to him than his family. As a child, he was rarely seen without his brother. Even throughout Shizuo's frequent hospitalizations, Kasuka was always at his brother's bedside, watching over him. Through all of the growing pains, all of the insecurities, all of the tumults and the falls, Kasuka remained steadfast at Shizuo's side. It's still true now, although the way Kasuka shows his support has grown and changed with them.

Though Kasuka has his own, wildly successful career now, he spends a great deal of time worrying about his brother. In the past, Shizuo was unable to hold down a job for the longest time. He would get hired, go through the motions, and then inevitably something would cause him to snap and get himself fired.

However, as an adult Kasuka's unable to follow in Shizuo's shadow to give him support anymore. Aside from the demands of his own career constantly calling him away, they're both adults now. Kasuka feels it would be an insult to anyone to have to rely on their little brother, and Kasuka never wants Shizuo feel like he's a failure in his little brother's eyes. Because he's not. No matter what Shizuo has going on in his life, Kasuka admires and respects him for his strength, for the gentleness and sensitivity he knows his brother possesses beneath all of that violence.

That all said, Kasuka can only do what he can. He remembers to call Shizuo from time to time, enough to remind Shizuo that he's there but not so much that it's overbearing. He shows his support by buying Shizuo practical things to help him without making it seem like a favor or a gift, because Kasuka isn't looking to be repaid or for Shizuo to feel indebted to him. He just wants Shizuo to be happy.

Powers/Abilities: Kasuka's a teen idol/actor/singer/athlete/investment broker back in Japan. He also looks great in perfume commercials and being able to make teenage girls willing to kill (this is canon) for the chance to meet him. He's by no means superhuman in any way, but he's a bright boy who's handy in quite a few ways and highly adaptable due to his profession.
