I never purchase more than one copy of an album unless the original copy gets damaged. So TLC, I've bought two copies because the original broke.
30. Who is your favorite musician?
Got quite a few of those so I think I'll use this as an excuse to explain the era thing.
1993-1996: suburban gangsta era. I listened to ONLY Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre, Tupac, and basically anybody black who performed in the aformentioned genre.
1996-1998: 80s era. I listened to nothing but 80s and even dressed like it to the extreme. At one point, since I wasn't going to school, I'd pretend like the world around me was set in 1982. Sometimes 1988-1989 if whatever I was using wasn't invented in 1982. 1986 if I was listening to INXS.
1998-2000: This one's a toss up. I was listening to mostly metal. Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, and whatever was sent to me via mail when I was running my crappy webzine. Sometimes I listened to Sex Pistols or The Clash. Depending on the feel of the day I'd go for a more gothy sort of...thingy (Type O Negative, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy)
2000-2003: Almost entirely punk. Buzzcocks, Xray Spex, Germs, Plasmatics to name a few. I rarely dressed the part.
2003-Present: Elements of everything aformentioned, plus lots of others that were (and are) royally obscure. I've become somewhat of an obscurity geek.
*I know Weird Al Yankovic is still around. This was just to continue the joke he mentioned on Behind the Music where everybody thinks that every time he makes an album he's making a comeback.
