VOW OF SILENCE 2007
I wanted to let everyone know so that I could get a little bit of help. It's going to be really hard for me to do- so if you read this and I haven't told you in person- please support me.
I have vocal nodes (eee!!!) and I'm going to stop talking in an attempt to help them heal.
Vocal nodes are (in short) blisters on your vocal cords. This happens when you yell and scream too much (just like me.) If not allowed to heal, blisters turn into callouses. A blister is squishy, a callous is not. Once I callous myself up, there will be no turning back for my voice.
So...vow of silence 2007!!! I hope to do this for at least five to six weeks. I will have a little notepad to communicate with, as well as the internet, text messages, and expressive hand gestures.
It really sucks that I have to come back from my travels to see all my friends...only to not be able to talk to them.
This will all go down on Monday- so if you want to hear my voice, you better jump on that this weekend! :D
