Author's Note: This is part of my series of stories where Hal and Kyle get each other pregnant.
Kyle’s voice broke the silence in John’s apartment, coming through his ring. “John?”
John finished the line he was drawing and leaned back in his chair. “What do you need, Kyle?”
“Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food. If it’s not too much trouble.”
Not much trouble - Oa was only halfway across the universe. But John would do anything for his friends, especially ones expecting babies and craving food from Earth. “Anything else?”
There was silence, then Kyle’s voice again. “No. That’s all.”
“Uh-huh. Ask Hal what he wants.”
“He said he didn’t want anything.”
John snorted. “Yeah. He said that the last time I brought you ice cream. And when I got there, he was pouting because I didn’t bring him something.”
“I did not pout!” Hal’s indignant voice said through the ring.
“You were pouting, Hal,” John said. “And it was pathetic and I really don’t want to see it again. So tell me what you want.”
More silence. “Fine,” Hal finally grumbled. “Orange sherbet.”
John smiled and stood up. “Phish Food and orange sherbet.” Okay, he had his wallet, keys-
“And Oreos,” Hal said.
Orange sherbet and Oreos? John wrinkled his nose. “Please tell me you don’t eat them together.”
“Yeah, he eats them together,” Kyle said. “Mashed up in a bowl. It’s disgusting. It looks kinda like-”
John grimaced and cut him off. “Okay! Too much information.” He shook his head and grabbed his jacket as he headed for the door. Apparently pregnant men had weird cravings, too.
