Distance makes the heart grow colder. Kyle had said it to Guy during their move to Oa. And he hadn’t just been referring to Guy and Tora, or to his failed relationship with Jen. It was also a hopeful statement on his part, hoping that his heart would indeed grow colder by leaving Earth. Because he was also leaving Hal behind, Hal and his new girlfriend that Kyle couldn’t stand to be in the same room with. Oa would become his refuge, because it hurt too damn much seeing the man he loved, and could never have, with someone else.
