TROPHIES AND MONIES
Part of changing the way we run gleeverse is changing things that we used to love into something else. Evolution is important. :o) What is the first thing we are changing? Badges. Badges are no longer a part of gleeverse. Most teams had a trophy room or trophy case in which you placed the badges and show off your team's accomplishments. What are we moving toward? Actual trophies! Instead of posting badges with the challenges, I'm going to post little trophy pixels beside each team based on their placement. Each trophy will have the challenge number on it, so they will be able to be displayed in a trophy room format.
For example:
Total Points By Team
Teachers: 4
Cheerios: 10
New Directions: 2
You are then free to use (or not use) these within your team communities however you'd like.
Now, on to introducing something new! We've discussed the trophies... but
WHAT ABOUT THE MONIES?
I'm sure you've all seen the coins posted to your mini-sectional team communities. Everyone that participated in the mini-sectional (did at least one challenge) will receive the items posted there.
Here's where it gets interesting. Your coins - the ones you were awarded through the mini-sectional - have been deposited into your regular team's (Teachers, Cheerios, New Directions) "bank account." When your team earns enough of these coins in your bank account, you'll be able to buy advantages for your team.
This brings up two questions:
1. WHAT CAN WE BUY?
So far, the "store" has the following items for sale:
I welcome any suggestions for other ~advantages you'd like to buy. :) A credit and debit post will come eventually (LOL. Yes. I know. More posts) specifically for the GLEE-CONOMY of gleeverse, and, of course, prices for all of the items. This will be posted when I have finalized the advantages I'd like to offer and their prices!

2. HOW DO WE EARN MONIES?
This is what I am most excited about. Shortly, a new challenge will be posted. This challenge is how you will earn coins through the entire sectional. Lets hope you're a fan of gambling.... ;D
This challenge will be constantly updated and will be constantly referred to! This challenge will ask you to take a gamble on some aspect of each and every challenge posted. These questions will ask things such as "which team do you predict to win this challenge?" or "how many comments will be left on the challenge post by the end of the challenge?" If you answer the question correctly, you will be awarded a coin. Answering incorrectly will not give you a penalty.
This gambling post is totally optional and will do nothing but earn your team coins. There is a second part of the challenge that will count towards our 50 challenges and perfect participation, but gambling for every question will not affect this.
Any questions specifically related to the "gambling" can be asked at the questions thread at that post. :o)
Have I confused you yet? Rest assured that this will become more clear as we begin to play the sectional. :o)
LASTLY. Regarding the poll I posted earlier today (I thank you for your input!) - we will not have a formal pimping challenge. You may post a promotion anywhere (LJ, DW, Tumblr, YouTube, etc) and link me to it HERE and receive 5 points (total, not per post). This is totally optional, and will also not affect your perfect attendance or participation!

- Unlimited card watching for bingo (Instead of the usual limit of watching 1 card + your own, your entire team will be able to watch as many cards as necessary).
- Exclusive hints for any challenge (ie. seeing all of the caps, available characters, etc. for a lucky dip challenge; learning the top earning items in a luck challenge [such as, the top 5 point earners out of 15 possible items], etc.)
- Time advantage in a timed challenge. If this is a challenge to finish a task the quickest, you'll receive a head start. Any endurance challenges will receive extra time to finish after the deadline. All extra time will be weighted to the amount of time the challenge runs.
- An extra 48 hours added to a challenge deadline for your entire team.
- Buying back a member's perfect participation (if they have had perfect participation up until that point)
- Buying back a member's perfect attendance if they miss posting with a tag banner.
