How to win friends
Let me start today with a short message to the public:
LABOR UNIONS ARE TOOLS OF THE LUDDITES
Capitalism both creates and destroys jobs. You don't see the ice delivery men lamenting the invention of the freon refrigeration, or the milkman the supermarket.
Forget public transportation, the bus to the local store. If anything is being taught by these strikes is that we all need SUVs to take to Costco or Sam's Club to get better value as consumers.
I pity these workers for not seeing the long view. That the longer they strike, the more they marginalize themselves.
I'm going to continue shopping at Costco, Trader Joes and Bristol Farms. The strikers can stay on the street, because they and the companies they're fighting, aren't getting another cent from me... ever.
