I did a dry run packing for the trip today. Into my snazzy new backpack, I put:
- three pairs of pants;
- three shirts;
- three paperback novels;
- my shaving kit;
- my PDA;
- my camera;
- some travel meds;
- various and sundry bottles of fluids which are important for healthy travel (hand sanitizer, bug repellent, sunscreen, etc.); and
- a wire anti-theft net to cover the backpack.
And it's full.
Now, having just moved into a new place and seen all my worldly possessions gathered together in boxes, taking up far more space than I had ever thought possible, I will be the first to admit that I own way, WAY too much stuff. But I think I'm packing pretty lightly here. After all, I'm going to be living on the above items for a full two months.
I think I need a bigger backpack.
