Shallow Hal

Last night I watched Shallow Hal.

Fantastic movie. I loved it, Jack Black was very good in it, Gwneth Palthrow was fabulous, and it had a very good message. I was surprised how much I like it.

I cried. I cried tears of happiness, what can I say? I'm a sucker for this stuff! I cried at Along Came Polly, (FANTASTIC movie! My absolute favorite Ben Stiller movie.) I cried at How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days and I cried at this.
These movies make

It was so good! I cried at the part where he realises that she's overweight, how he just leaves her.
And when he see's Candace, the little girl with burns, he just looks at her. He remembers her how she was when he had the power to see what they were inside, not outside. He saw a little girl with no burns, and he saw her for what she was, not what she looked like. Then he hugged her, where most people would be squimish and scared to touch her. It just proved he knew she was human, and not a outsider because of her burns.
Like how he saw Rosemary.
She was overweight to other people, others treated her different and acted as if she didn't exist, just because of her weight. But he saw her for what she was inside, not outside. He saw her as the same Rosemary, except without the weight. Exactly how she is inside.
And at the end, he comes up to her and looks at her for the first time since the spell wore off. He looks at her body, shocked and just says: "Oh my gosh."
Of course you think he's going to say "You're disgusting", but no. He says "you're beautiful".
I cried right there.
How sweet!

What gets me though, is people treat people different because of their skin, their outside.
The little girl with burns, is she some kind of monster to be feared because she has burns on her face? No! Its not her fault she was burned, its not her fault at all. And nothing is wrong with burn victoms!
They are real people, with real feelings, with real problems, with real everything.
Rosemary, she's not some animal that should be locked up because of her weight. Nothing is wrong with overweight people. They just have extra skin, they are just like like burn victoms. They are real people with real everything, they should not be treated differently just because of their weight, or burns, or whatever.

Its not their fault, sometime it is...But if their body does it to them, its not their fault!
I have something that my body does to me, and I try to not let it bother me. I know that I'll find a man who can look past it and look at me for who I am, not what I look like or what my body does.

If only everybody had the spell Shallow Hal did, to see the personalities and insides of somebody, not the outside.
The real them.
I know I don't judge anybody about their weight, skin, problems, anything. I never will.
I just wish that others didn't either.

I rate Shallow Hal 10/10, fantastic.

Love the song Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes, I wanted to name my first daughter Rosemary for so long when I heard this song.

I'm a lucky fella, and I just got to tell her, that I love her endlessly.

How sweet is that?

Lyrics below.

She ain't got no money
Her clothes are kinda funny
Her hair is kinda wild and free
Oh, but Love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me

She talks kinda lazy
And people say she she's crazy
And her life's a mystery
Oh, but Love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me

There's something about her hand holding mine
It's a feeling that's fine
And I just gotta say
She's really got a magical spell
And it's working so well
That I can't get away

I'm a lucky fella
And I've just got to tell her
That I love her endlessly
Because Love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me

There's something about her hand holding mine
It's a feeling that's fine
And I just gotta say
She's really got a magical spell
And it's working so well
That I can't get away

I'm a lucky fella
And I've just got to tell her
That I love her endlessly
Because Love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me

Fadeout:
It keeps growing every place she's been
And nobody knows like me

If you've met her, you'll never forget her
And nobody knows like me

La la la- believe it when you've seen it
Nobody knows like me
