In no particular order, here are some things that have been going on with me...
Skiing...we've been up to Kirkwood a couple times recently, with Kim and Josh and also John's bro and girlfriend. The drive to Tahoe is so long, and I'm always hating it by the time we arrive, but so much fun skiing that it makes it all worth it. I feel like I've hit a plateau and I need lessons in order to get any better. I've self taught myself everything I can figure out and now I need some form! Maybe next time... The conditions last Saturday were GREAT, I have to add!
Valentine's Day...the restaurants and massage and everything else we wanted to do was booked on V-day and so we actually celebrated on Wednesday (the day after). This worked out perfect and we have vowed to celebrate EVERY year on the 15th instead! lol! This left the 14th for doing cute little sweet things for each other--chocolate on pillows, stuff like that... and the the 15th was like our very own special day! John and I are always looking for additional reasons to celebrate so this works perfectly for us. Plus, everything is cheaper!!!! teheheheheh. We went out to a nice dinner at Oliveto above Market Hall in Rockridge. It's my new favorite restaurant! It was the perfect mix of cozy/comfortable/formal and the food was soooo seriously fantastic. I had read mixed reviews on-line, but was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it! John's previous was baywolf and mine was Citron, but this one we agree on. It was sooooo perfect. We lingered at dinner and then went to Piedmont Springs and got massages. It was a really nice way to end the evening after a nice dinner. It was great to have a chance to slow down and connect with John.
New Computer....I got a new desktop. Ordered it, FedEx lost it, ordered a second one, was delivered and configured wrong, ordered a third one and...voila--third time's a charm! So far I'm loving it and it's speedy at photos. (Mac G5 dual 2.3 with upgraded video card. I think it's 2.3 anyway...) WHatever it is, it's fast. Makes my life better and now I'm much less pissed off about the delay in getting it. I still hate FedEx though, but that's a whole post that you don't want me to get started on.
Work....shot 2 weddings this month and feel like I'm definately getting into the groove of this season. I'm excited for the new web site--we're doing some cool new things with transitions between photos and stuff. Another month, though. Trying to build up some more children's photos, so if you know of anyone with super cute kinds who'd like a free session, let me know!!!
All for now.
