Because Camelot doesn't exist anymore. It hasn't for about a thousand years, I think, less than that probably. No one knows a date for certain. Most of us think it's myth.

I erm... yes? Is there a reason people seem to be finding my name difficult to believe? You're all the ones telling me an entire kingdom is gone and we're thousands of years in the future, and yet no one believes my name to be real?

Like I said earlier, most of us had believed Camelot to be myth, or at least, something to be revered of sorts.

You're...very special to quite a few of us. Most of us have got used to using your name in place of God when exclaiming over stuff.

It's a bit weird now though, knowing you're real.

Well it's not a myth. It's very real, and it's my home, and I've got to get back there to Arthur. There must be a way.

It doesn't really work like that. You're not just out of time. You're out of place too. A lot of us have tried to go home already without it working. It's pretty much impossible.

Beats the hell out of me. I understand what that's like, but in our defense, we thought you were myth too, just like Camelot. There aren't a lot of Merlin's from Camelot.
