Okay guys, help me out. I am in the mood for good, short fic -- specifically drabbles or ficlets under 500 words or so. It can be any pairing (or no pairing), HP or QAF, happy or sad or violent, but I really just want examples of teeny tiny fics that pack a huge punch. I love the lean prose and emotional impact that really good drabbles have

There's this, which is one of my favourite Remus/Sirius pieces despite being so short: Black and Gold by musesfool (R/S, PG). There are quite a few nice short pieces at those R/S seasonal prompt comms, btw - dogdaysofsummer and whatever the others were called. :) Same for the pervy_werewolf Lusty Month of May tidbits, many of which are short and sweet because of the must-post-every-day requirement. See Dirty by cmere (Remus/Regulus, NC-17). *purr* ;)

Drabbles... I recall really liking Anniversary at Grimmauld by theladyfeylene (Snape/Lupin, PG)

florahart is a master of short!fic and drabbles, IMO. She's doing one-a-day ficlets right now, in fact, although most are 1,000-2,000 words. She did a couple for the under-1,000 words challenge at erotic_elves last month that were nice.

I like scribbulus_ink's drabbles, too. They always have a clear beginning, middle, and end, all in 100 words - which is so difficult to do. She writes them monthly for flisters' birthdays, if you scroll through her journal.

You know about the drabble comms, of course (lupin100 being a fave, heh, and snape100, snupin100, sirius100, etc).

Oh! And for porn, I'm partial to the memories at pornish_pixies, which aren't up to date, alas, but have some lovely under-1,000 word PWPs, like the come shot challenge... mmm. :)

Loved Black and Gold, Anniversary at Grimmauld, and Dirty (guh -- a little felching never goes astray *g*), and will look at some of the other ones you've linked later tonight.

Good call on florahart and scribbulus_ink -- they're both on my flist and you're right, they do write awesome drabbles.

Drabble comms...I am often hesitant to add comms because of the sometimes, er, uneven quality of the posts, if you know what I mean...but I will probably end up adding lupin100 because really, can you ever get enough Remus? ;-)
