...for your Friday night.
First, an original M/M story from the latest edition of
bb-shousetsu:
The City of a Thousand Days by
jibrailis (NC-17). It's set centuries ago in Baghdad, a city and time that the author brings to vivid life. Zamir has returned after years of exile, but not everyone is ready to welcome him back, at least not in the way he's dreamed of. I love the way the author writes both magic and desire. There's beautiful art to accompany the story too.
Second, a "virtual choir" of singers from a dozen countries, all recorded separately and then knitted together to create this version of Eric Whitacre's "Lux Aurumque." If heaven had a sound, I think it would start at 3:38 of this vid. *gets chills every time*
