This video made me cry. On October 30, 2010, 650 singers from the Opera Company of Philadelphia and various other local choirs, posing as shoppers, performed Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" at the Macy's in Center City Philadelphia as a "random act of culture":

The
Random Acts of Culture project is bringing spontaneous performances of classical music, theater, dance and opera to stores, airports and other public places in eight cities. How cool is that??
You can watch more videos of other random acts of culture at the site above. I liked the one with the string quartet at the Miami airport. :-) (Note that they're not all religious -- in fact, it seems like most of them aren't.)
