Ginormous recs post (HP, ST, WC)
I am overdue for a recs post! I'll start with several shiny pretty things that people have written for me (all Star Trek):
Learning on the Fly by silverlining_99 (Kirk/McCoy, NC-17)
I left the following prompt: Bones being all shy about asking for something in bed. (Kink of your choice!) and got this funny, sexy story in return. Sil has a fantastic Jim voice, and the sex is hot, and there's an understated love story underneath the rest. If you like this one, you'll want to check out the sequel, What I Did On My Summer Vacation, by James T. Kirk, also extremely fun and hot.
The Feeling's Mutual by mardia (Kirk/McCoy, PG-13)
My prompt for this one was aftermath of a scare, and mardia wrote me something about Bones getting injured and Jim worrying about him. Heart-wrenching and sweet. My prompt for this one was Chekov coming to Bones with an embarrassing sex question. Chekov is so adorably blushy and Bones is such a good doctor and this fic made me smile so much. :-)

Bill and Charlie having rough, angsty sex against a wall in a nightclub -- need I say more? So delicious and good.

Absolutely gorgeous ensemble fic set during and after Deathly Hallows. I don't even know how to explain this one, except as several beautiful slices of life.
Ode to Broken Things by femmequixotic (Viktor/Millicent, NC-17)
I seriously think this author could make me read any pairing. In this case, I was immediately drawn in by the character of Millicent, who's an ordinary, not particularly attractive single mom that's never quite gotten over a youthful fling. I think most women can probably relate to her insecurities (especially about her body), and seeing her find happiness left me so satisfied.

Snow Country by ayalesca (Kirk/McCoy, PG-13)
This fic, which takes place entirely in the afterlife, somehow left me both gutted and uplifted. It will make you think (and probably make you cry as well), and the imagery is beautiful and haunting.
A Gentleman Will Walk But Never Run by savvierthanu (Kirk/McCoy/Eames, NC-17, crossover)
Don't let the fact that this is a crossover scare you away if you haven't seen Inception -- I haven't either, but I did not let that keep me from the delicious porn that is this fic! I had to do a little hand-waving at the plot, but the UST and the banter drew me right in, and then the threesome sex pretty much incinerated my laptop screen. (Incidentally: Just when I think bottom!Bones is the hottest thing ever, someone writes him like his, all growly and toppy, and I change my mind again. *g*)

Absolutely stunning portrait of these two in a sort of Art Nouveau style.

A wonderfully real, often painful look at Peter and Neal's relationship and the complications and compromises inherent in it. El makes a wise, awesome appearance. :-)
In Little Rooms in Buildings in the Middle by lowriseflare (Peter/Neal/Elizabeth, PG, spoilers for 2.09)
This is set directly in the aftermath of the summer finale, and it's gorgeous.
Requiem by sahiya (Peter/Elizabeth, possible pre-OT3, PG, character death, spoilers for 2.09)
And here's another take on the aftermath of 2.09. This is not the way I want things to actually play out on the show, but in fic, as it's imagined here? Perfection.
