2006 in Review

1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?

I graduated from high school, cried after prom, moved away from home, shared a room for more than a night, failed a test, kissed two Columbians, bought alcohol (for others), and so much more…

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions and will you make more for next year?

I don’t remember making any resolutions last year, but I think that I will make one or two this year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

Apparently a close friend’s cousin…everyone (in my family) seems to think that I know this woman, but I have never met her.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

Yes, my uncle, on December 16th at 3:30

5. What countries did you visit?

Canada, that is before I moved there.

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?

A solid relationship

7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

March 2- Got into JHU, which made my life more confusing, but very exciting because I was 3 of 3 in places I loved.

April 14- Decided to go to McGill…thus resulting in me loving the past 3 ½ months.

December 16 - The day Ricky died.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

To be honest, I really do not know. Probably being strong enough for my mother for the past 20 months

9. What was your biggest failure?

My fencing record and my attitude around my competitive season.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Yes, arthritis in my hand, resulting in a cortisone shot and continuous pain

11. What was the best thing you bought?

My boots & long black coat

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

My mother’s

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

Our governments…

14. Where did most of your money go?

Into food & living costs

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Connor coming to Montreal…except it didn’t happen in the end… a few nights at Ceilidh and some other fun McGill nights.

The gay marriage/civil union debate, abortion debates

Connor, Jane, the fencing team

Kait, Sacha, Edith, & the rest of the Laird Hall girls
