Hello there. I wonder what has brought you to my tiny corner of cyberspace?!
I keep my friends list small, each person on the list is a friend. I can tell you their name, what is important to them, their likes and dislikes, their situation and current goings on in their life. I care about them as I would do a friend in real life, sometimes more so, as online communication tends to bring out a certain honesty absent in real life. I am assured they have the same feeling towards me. That awful brandishing of 'comment whore' well yes, you could call me that if you like, both in giving and receiving comments. No point being 'friends' if there is no communication.
I am gentle and kind. Good manners matter a great deal to me. Avoiding hurting people's feelings also means much to me. The online world for me is source of escapism and pleasure, free of negativity or anxieties.
So, lets get down to business. All I'm looking for are true friends. You are free to disagree with me on anything that I post but,
1. Be kind, be diplomatic. There is a human being behind this computer, I'm gentle and I want to keep the online world as my safe haven, free of rudeness or general snark (unless its very funny and you think I will laugh with you!)
2. If I post or comment something to you which has (for whatever reason) upset you, please I do want you to tell me, but see above.. please tell me gently!! Whatever I have done or stepped on your toes it was not intentional, I only have your interests at heart. I'm learning, getting to know you. These incidents are very rare but when they do occur it ruins my whole LJ experience which is sad considering the wonderful friendships I have built up.
Still want to be friends? Check out my profile :)
