2012 - the year that was ...
Urgh, I'm being so lazy in uploading all my honeymoon pics
Meant to do it a few days ago but had some computer issues at home.
I'll get around to it, I promise.
Christmas was lovely. Went to stay with my Mum 3 hours south of the city.
3 days of relaxation, drinking copious amounts of wine, eating ridiculously awesome gourmet food and hanging with my brother.
NYE was amazing.
Went to a house party at a good mates, then went to a second house party that was the big gawth event - melty gawths in 40 degree celcius heat are funny - then went back to the first house party after that and spent the rest of the night hanging with some very dear friends, watching the sun come up, and then in very strange fashion *I* was the sober one who drove everyone home at 8am.

1. What did you do in 2012 that you'd never done before?
Got married. Learned how to do a burnout (on the starting grid at Bathurst no less).
Drove across Sydney Harbour Bridge. I'm sure there's more.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
*mehhhh* to New Years resolutions.
I have new goals and a plan to bring them to fruition, but this happened long before NYE came around.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, several people. Babies AWWWWWWSQUISH!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Beautiful Mikey.
5. What countries did you visit?
Didn't go overseas in 2012, but did get to see a lot of the east coast of Australia.
6. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?
Time - which I will have because I don't have to plan a wedding now.
Money - see above.
More focus and direction, and more determination to see things through.
7. What dates from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
27-10-12 - GUS DAY!
10-11-12 - the day I married my partner in crime.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Is getting married considered an achievement? Probably not.
I'd say opening my husbands business MAL MOTORS to the public full time was the biggest achievement of our year, plus the fact that we haven't gone bankrupt yet *LOL*
Oh, and the things that led us to getting our new home, can't wait to move!
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My wedding dress. My wedding shoes (they are amazeballs, honestly).
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Mal of course, because he's awesome.
My brother Max, just been the best bro anyone could ask for this year.
Bodie, for not punching anyone out at the wedding or otherwise causing a ruckus.
Mike and Maddi - for being amazing.
Everyone who made our wedding insanely awesome, so many people helped out and had a hand in this.
Most of my friends, I've had an amazing year socially, and feel like I have a deepening connection with many of my good friends.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
People in general, out in the world, doing horrible things to each other. Violence, rape, all of the bad things.
It does make me wish I could just stay away from newspapers for good.
But I can't because I need to know what's going on, even if it's horrid.
Oh, and my office manager, she can go eat a bag of dicks.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Wedding. Fucking money hole, seriously.

Wedding (uhhhh common theme) and honeymoon.

With Mum, John, Mal and Max (plus Jake the dog) - just lovin' life and livin' it up.

The Story of Billy Young by Anthony Hill.
Amazing book, and was lucky enough to meet the author and get it signed.
Best audiobook has been Underwood & Flinch by Mike Bennett.
I just adore every podcast that Mr Bennett puts out.

Everything.
Seriously, except for winning lotto I got everything I wanted and more in 2012.

Low key stuff with friends =)
30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not having had to spend so much on the wedding.

Comfort rules. Monochromatic shades with dabbles of dark hued colour.
Obsessed with ballet flats in all colours and prints. Zombie themed anything.
GREEN & leopard print. Sometimes green leopard print.

Mal. Weed. My gorgeous kitties. Good friends.
33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Adam Levine - I know, a guy for once!
In the girl stakes, I have developed a recent but searing crush on the Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic, I just think she is absolutely stunning!
34. What political issue stirred you the most?
Toss-up between violence against women (and associated victim blaming), the "War on Drugs" being a total failure, and marriage equality.
35. Who did you miss?
Mikey, Finn, friends & family who don't live in Perth.
