It both feeds my anger and makes me feel better about everything to see other people reacting with the same virulence.

This I understand. In fact, I understand all of it. When you're in the midst of the feeling, it's very, I don't know, not reassuring exactly, but comforting to be surrounded by people who all feel the same heartache and anger.

I felt it some after the Madison thing; the handling of that made me SO angry and I relished all the vitriol I read. But only for a bit, and then it started making me sick to my stomach.

I hope you know -- and I'm glad to say that everyone commenting here seems to -- that I don't fault people for venting. At all. I understand the impulse very well. I guess it just feels like the overwhelming fan sentiment right now, unless you go read the blindly positive posts over on TWoP, which don't do it for me either. I just want to be able to get away from it a bit more than I can, and that makes things hard.

I also do feel like it feeds on itself and people who might not have felt so violently now do so as a result. As you said, it magnifies it. I get the lure of community. I wish I had a strong community for my own frustration-that-doesn't-equal-hate. I've really loved the VM community and I'll miss it dreadfully when it inevitably dissipates. If I felt the hate, I'm sure I'd relish the communal feel of that. As it is, though, it just makes me sad. So I'm sad about the show and I'm sad about the hate.

As for the FBI idea...it's difficult. Because I'm praying JD doesn't make the jump, and at the same time JD making the jump is the only thing that would cause me to care even the slightest bit. The show could go a lot of different ways from here, but at this point, it's cancellation I'm pulling for.

Yeah, I know the feeling. I will only watch the FBI show if JD is on it. I would rather watch JD on something else and cut free of this. I want RT to want JD on it because of what it implies about how he sees the character of Logan and L/V. I want the show to be cancelled anyway and let me GO instead of hoping for it to miraculously improve with this new setup.
