What I did on my summer.. uh, not vacation.

Well, seeing as how I'm an adult with a regular, year round job I don't really have a summer vacation as such. The only real distinction? No new episodes for my favorite show(s?).

So this summer I turned of the TV, or at least the broadcasted shows, and entered a new fandom. Between the end of May and about 2 weeks ago I read the 6 Harry Potter books and watched the 3 movies. The movies have sinced been watched over and over again since my daughter delights in them. I now consider myself a somewhat rabid fan and am relieved to find a new fantasy world in which to play.

My husband and I also watched the 14 "Sean Bean is Sharpe" movies. The action series based on the books by Bernard Cromwell about the Napoleanic wars. My hubby is such a huge history nerd that he didn't even mind my googling at the delicious Sean Bean. Yum.

My best regards to our local library for making it all possible.

Oh, and my bonus? Was to find season 4 of QAF at the CD Warehouse for $30! I'm sure to finish it before the new season of House starts September 13th!
