Effects: An unsettling feeling toward the end. And implied at the beginning of the dream that the woman mentioned is Morgana.
Warnings: Slight spoiler for Season 3 of Merlin. Nothing horrible.
The dream opens with a large room filled with people. Lines of knights fill the front of the room, all decked out in red uniforms. At the very front of the room are two thrones. Arthur Pendragon stands in front of one throne.
The other is empty. For now.
The hushed whispers of the citizens are quieted as the doors to the room open, and a dark-haired woman dressed in a beautiful, jewel-covered dress walks down the aisle toward Arthur. His previously serious face breaks into a warm smile as he sees her. The looks on the faces of all the citizens and knights that are watching this proceeding are all proud, happy, and welcoming as well.
She kneels before Arthur. And then, her face is shown.
It is not Morgana. Instead, it is a darker-skinned woman. She looks regal in her outfit, however, those who are paying especially close attention (or are more experienced in nobility) may notice that her features are worn by years of labor.
Arthur reaches over for a sparkling, golden crown.
"I crown you, Guinevere, queen of Camelot."
Morgana awakes with a start. It takes a few minutes for her to catch her breath. And even longer to make sense of her surroundings. She absentmindedly fingers a bracelet on her wrist. The window is open, and flurries of snow are already drifting into the room, but she doesn't pay notice.
It was just a dream. Just... a dream.
Gwen was a dear friend. So... why did this dream leave her feeling so unsettled?
