Flash Your Stash Week!
Hello swappers!!! Its that time again ... Starting tonight and ending this Sunday night, it's Flash Your Stash week!
In case you haven't heard of this activity before, this week we will be showing off pictures of our (sometimes embarrassingly large) yarn stashes within the community! So post away!
Here are a few quick guidelines:
1) For this activity, please post your pictures in your own separate post.
2) Post ALL pictures under an LJ-Cut. If you don't know how, please learn. :)
3) Comment on other people's posts! Let's enjoy some awesome yarn prOn and have some great yarny conversations in the comments. Feel free to ask people where they got a certain special yarn, drool over their yummy collection, etc.
4) The more informative your posts are (i.e. What kind of yarn is in the pictures? What are your plans for it?, etc), the more people are likely to comment.
5) Please tag your post with the words "flash your stash". This will help everyone find any FYS posts quickly.
6) If you don't know how to post an image, here are some quick instructions. You can use the "Rich Text" tab, which makes it easy to insert pictures, or use the html coding: <*img src="url goes here"*> without the stars. If you need a place to upload your pictures, I like Photoshop, Flickr
and ImageShack
.
7) For this week's QOW, include in your post something identifying your favorite part of the stash, or the oldest yarn in your stash, or something you realized about your stash while taking the pictures. Even if you would just like to point out something special, that would be great.
8) If there are any questions, please post a comment to this entry with your question.
And, I haven't forgot about all of the recent SPLJ5 birthdays so those posts (some of them belated) will be coming along later this evening / tomorrow morning. My imaging computer died so I've been without a program to put those spiffy images together :)
