I made this for a swap in the
secretpal_lj2![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/kimnicole/HPIM0438.jpg)
The fins and tail are actually quilting, and mildly shaped. I sew them so they they would pull to the back and curl like they were in use.

The lining was handsewn in after both were fully constructed.
I made the lining so that it would contain 2 sides. One smaller pocket for small works in progess, like socks and scarves, or knitting supplies; the other larger for lots of yarn, or blankets.

In the larger pocket, I made a smaller case for needles with varying pockets. It's open ended to accomodate any length of needles, including circs. (My buddy,
diaphragm, is a big circ user.)

To make the handles, I got to do some knitting. YAY! I made two thick I-cords from woolease to reinforce the handles and pad them a bit. I think they turned out the best of the bag.

Anyway, I hope my secret buddy really enjoys her bag, and doesn't mind me posting the pics here. I gave it to her Monday in our hood since we were lucky to live within a couple of blocks of one another. =D
