Title: Repercussions (Part C)
Pairing: Harry/Louis (Larry Stylinson)
Summary: All actions have consequences, there’s no doubt about that. However sometimes, just sometimes, something beautiful can come from even the worst of situations.

The slamming of the front door woke him up the next day. Bleary eyed, he glanced at the clock on the wall. It was approaching one o’clock in the afternoon, and this in itself surprised the younger boy. How on earth had he managed to sleep that long? He wasn’t given much time to ponder his thoughts, as Louis soon came into the kitchen, opening the fridge door and grabbing a can of coke.

Despite what people liked to believe, Louis wasn’t one for drinking all of the time. He liked a fizzy drink just as much as a beer.

Harry watched him, trying to figure out something to say. When he opened his mouth to speak, another voice interrupted him. Louis’ voice.

“You called me.” he was leaning against the counter, looking in Harry’s direction but not looking at him.

“How could I not?” Harry whispered in reply. “You were gone for a whole day, Louis.”

“I told you not to.” the older boy muttered, grip tightening around the can. Anyone else would have missed the movement, but this was Harry. He saw everything when it came to Louis.

“Well for all I knew, you could have been dead!” the younger boy snapped, pushing his chair away from him as he stood up. “Excuse me for wanting to know whether the person I’m in love with was okay or not.”

His words seemed to hit home with Louis, who sighed and put his drink on the counter, finally allowing his gaze to meet Harry’s.

“Thank you for caring,” he said softly. “I appreciate it, and I should have text… but I’m still mad at you. I trusted you not to do anything stupid, and you did. I forgave you for that, because you were drunk and because it was hurting you just as much as it was hurting me. I can’t forgive you for lying to my face so easily. Not yet.”

Harry nodded slowly, biting his lip. “I understand.” he croaked.

“I just need time, okay? Time and space.”

“Time and space.” Harry agreed sadly, watching as Louis left the room.

And that’s what he gave him. The next few days were awkward, but not as bad as they had been before. At least the two boys could exchange words with each other now without wanting to rip each others’ heads from their shoulders.

The next week, they had an interview with some magazine that Harry had already forgotten the name of. There were so many of them recently. Their management had already informed him that there might be a question about his recent escapades, and told him to just go along with it. According to them, there was no such thing as ‘bad publicity.’

The five boys sat on the plush leather couch, chatting amongst themselves and with the interviewer. Claire, he thought her name was.

“So you’re getting ready to release your album, how does that feel?” she asked, looking at each of the boys in turn.

“It feels absolutely amazing. Obviously when we were on the x-factor our ultimate goal was to release an album, but we were saying just the other day that it’s still so surreal to actually be doing that now.” replied Zayn, sitting forwards as he spoke.

“Yeah, I mean it’s every singers dream to have an album out, and now that we’re doing it, it’s like all our dreams have come true.” added Niall.

“That’s lovely, boys. It’s great to see that you’re so appreciative of the opportunities you have.” Claire smiled. “Now, despite this you’re all still just teenage boys at heart, aren’t you?” she received chuckles and nods from them, before she glanced down at her question sheet, pen in hand.

“Now, Harry, a few weeks ago you were at a party where you shared a certain kiss with a Miss Caroline Flack, and since then rumours have been escalating around, ranging from the idea of the two of you being an item, to some rather unpleasant ones that we shall not get into right now. Can you clarify things for us? Let us know what’s really going on?”

Harry shifted uncomfortably. He could feel Louis’ gaze on him, making him nervous.

“Um, yeah. Well,” he cleared his throat, wiping his hands on his knees as he tried to act as naturally as possible. “as you know, we obviously kissed that night.” he chuckled nervously “and we may or may not be dating at the minute, but I’ll give you a hint: It’s may.” he added with a wink. He hated lying, but what other option did he have? At least if he said this, it gave Caroline the opportunity to deny it, making him look like a teenager with a completely heterosexual crush, securing the secrecy his and Louis’ relationship. It was a win/win all around.

“Well congrat-”

“That’s not true.” all heads in the room looked towards to source of the noise, and Louis flinched a little as he felt so many eyes on him. He gave Claire a small, apologetic smile for interrupting her, but the anger in his veins didn’t go away.

“What do you mean by that, Louis?” she asked.

“I mean, it’s not true.” Louis insisted, his voice firm. “Harry is not dating her, and nor will he ever be dating her. He’s taken by someone else, and has been for a long time, so anyone looking to take him away from that said person can just fuck right off. Excuse my language.”

The interviewer raised her eyebrows, but a story like this could almost guarantee her a promotion.

“Are you able to tell us who this lucky person is?” she enquired.

“Louis, what are you doing?” whispered Harry, suddenly nervous for an entirely different reason.

“Something I should have done when you suggested it six months ago, love.” was the quiet reply he received, before the Doncaster boy raised his voice to a conversational level once again. “Harry’s dating me, sweetheart.”

There were a few shocked gasps, mostly from the camera crew who were filming the interview to put up onto the magazine website, and from Claire. Zayn, Niall and Liam were all exchanging high-fives and “I told you so”’s.

The grin that spread out on Harry’s face couldn’t be contained, and only grew as he felt two familiar hands cup his cheeks, bringing his face forwards to crash their lips together.

It had been too long, way too long since their last kiss, and Harry savoured every moment. It was the fist time they had ever kissed in front of people, and quite frankly he felt rather smug to be able to say that Louis was his.

“I love you.” he whispered, once they had pulled away. “and I’m sorry for being a dick.”

Louis pressed their foreheads together, smiling softly. “I love you too” he replied. “And it’s okay… I forgive you.”

They were ready to start a new page, a new chapter even. One where the world knew (or were about to find out very soon) that Larry Stylinson was real, and nobody (not even Caroline Flack) could change that.
