When they arrived at the party, they were swamped at how the people took Halloween costumes to the next degree. There were a dragon, fire breathing one, a tiger that looked so real they screamed when it called out their name, and other costumes that make what they wore looked like total average joe’s.

The auditorium was filled to the brim, with a big, highly equipped stage in the other side of the room. They realized that this would also be a chance for the trainees to show what they got to their seniors and prove their worth of becoming a star, so the stage and the equipments didn’t really shock them.

The decorations for the party, however, spook them to hell and back. It was those kinds of decorations that doesn’t just stick to the wall and became a nice background for the photos, it’s the kind that lets you think and think again why in the hell did you go to that place without realizing it’s not really a real place and the boys can’t realize that they are in an auditorium if it weren’t for the stage. They felt like the graves around them could actually hold someone deep under.

They decided to stick together, being lost in a forest of people with freaky outfits in a freaky auditorioum isn’t exactly the kind of death any of them wanted. So when the stage show started and the lights dimmed, they quickly grabbed seats as fast as they can in the back, so that they could blend in with the background.

But hey, they’re DBSK. Blending into the background is something that’s just impossible for them. Even if they wanted to.

After a few song and acts from the trainees, one of the anticipated shows was next. It was a drama from SHINee, the baby team. Everybody was waiting impatiently how the baby team would act in a stage, something that they almost never done before.

Onew came to the front wearing an inconspicuous tofu costume. “Hello everyone. Today, we SHINee will perform a short drama that we made and I will be your narrator.”

The Drama

Once upon a time there was a pretty mushroom princess

(Out comes Taemin from a giant mushroom, wearing a pink princess dress.)

called Princess Nimeat from the Mushroom Kingdom. He was engaged to the handsome prince Ohnim

(Out comes Minho wearing a pink prince suit.)

from the neighboring Strawberry Kingdom. The couple

(They struck a pose in the middle of the stage, making them look like Cinderella and Her Prince splashed with pink flamingo wall paint all over.)

was loving and full of affection.

(They almost kissed at the stage. A few senior collapsed. Junsu can barely breathe.)

But one day, the prince had to go to another country. And as such, he has to leave his princess.

(The audience went, “awww…”. Jaejoong was unamused.)

To make sure his love was safe, the prince locked the princess in the highest tower of his castle. The princess asked, “Why can’t you let me be free?” and the prince answered, “I want you to be forever the same, never to change. Freedom makes you change.”

“I will never change for you, I will always love you. Why can’t I just go with you?” The princess tried to assure his prince, but to no avail, as his prince said “I know better than you, because I am older than you. Now go to your tower!” And the princess was dragged by her chambermaid

(Finally, Key made an appearance. As much as he tried not to overpower the princess, he shone through with his lascivious femininity. Jaejoong was finally amused.)

to the room she was locked to.

In the neighboring country, the prince had fun. But the princess missed his prince so much. Sadly, a witch heard her cries,

(A white screen showed shadows of the princess crying in the tallest tower. Jonghyun, dressed as a witch, was walking under the tower.)

and decided to steal her to be her disciple. She flew into the tower and tried subduing the princess, but finally she had to use force.

(The shadow of the princess and the witch playing tug-of-war is shown in the screen. Everybody laughed. Jaejoong regretted the short appearance of the chambermaid.)

The princess was kidnapped by the witch.

Everyone was shocked when the lights came back on. Onew walked from the left side of the stage where he had been narrating the drama and said his epilogue.

“This story is related from real life, as I was told. A noona said the story about her neighbor with a bad husband. Her husband had ordered her not to ever go out of the house when he was away. He always told her this with slaps and hits. One day, she was busy tending the house when a burglar came in and ransacked the house. Seeing her, the burglar went panic and stabbed her with a knife. When her husband got back, it was too late.” Onew ended the sentence with a smile, as if he didn’t just scare the audience into pooping their mind. The other members walked in, and they bowed together, and went out of the stage. The audience had a standing ovation.

“Wow, that kid has character. Don’t you agree, Yunho? Yunho?” Jaejoong tried to speak to his leader, when he turned his head and found that the seat was empty, and Yoochun or Junsu had no idea either because Yoochun was scared silly and Junsu had passed out from seeing the jailbait kiss.

Yunho’s Mind

Even if they didn’t say it out loud I knew that drama was for me.

Minnie must’ve spent all this time with those kids.

///

Yunho’s mind raced as he zoomed his car past the streets in speed challenging the batmobile’s highscore. He quickly reached their house, opened the door with his spare key and screamed, “CHANGMIN!!” on the top of lungs.

But the reply was silence. Unusual silence.

He tried looking everywhere, and he can’t find Changmin anywhere, laundry room, kitchen, even the roof. He finally walked to Changmin’s room, where a new note has been stuck on the door

I’m sorry.

Changmin

The short message beckoned a dark imagination in Yunho’s mind.

He opened Changmin’s door, only to find nobody inside.

Hell, there was almost nothing inside.

Every single little thing that one man can move was gone. Books, sheets, plushies. There was nothing else in that room except empty furnitures and clean floors. Yunho was scared beyond his wit.

Changmin had run away from DBSK.

He gave up on us.

He fell to the floor upon his deduction.

He had definitely pushed Min too far.

He drove back to the auditorium in silence. Tears ran in his cheeks, the path they left felt like a burning bonfire of guilt to Yunho.

“Hyung, we’re done!”

“We got a lot of standing ovations!”

“Yay!”

The boys smiled cheerfully as they went to their changing room.

“Nice job, guys! You captured the emotions so well; I can barely move my eyes from it!”

“Aw, hyung, you don’t have to say that. Everybody gasped at your performance too!”

“Hahahaha. Yeah right. I bet none of them audience realized that the princess’ height changed at the shadow scene.”

The SHINee kids saw happily as their hyung found a source of confidence that now reeks out of every pore. They proudly present their greatest creation into the mirror, to see the awesomeness they have unleashed upon their beloved hyung.

Shim Changmin stood tall in a white dress, satin corsage wrapped his chest tight adorned with cubic zirconias, while layers and layers of velvet covered his waist down in a gorgeous inflation that cuts right above his ankle. The thin lining of pink ribbon running around his veil gives a cheerful look, but his eyes were spelling DEATH to a certain someone. The silver 5” heels barely showing under the heavy dress made an extra shining power that Changmin has no trouble walking in. He had turned into a bride, left by her groom.

The SHINee boys smiled of satisfaction, as their model put his right hand on his waist while the other holding the white lily boquet.

“Operation Kick Jung Yunho’s Ass, phase two begins now.”

“Yes Madam.”
