They were a collection of music and comedic acts intended to raise money for Amnesty International. I couldn't discern a valid reason, no. He jumped around the audience in a kilt and then banged a nail into his nose whilst fully clothed. Then he stripped down to his pants and I lurched at the "next chapter" button on the remote.
