Tonight is the full harvest moon, it should be awesome! I always thought the harvest moon was the full moon in october, but what do I know? It's true that when I look at my jalapeno plant outside it is definitely harvest time, all those big fatties hanging on there. The ones that are a bit red on the top are super flaming hot, almost too hot for me (which is saying a lot).
I love autumn, I love october and halloween, I love cold weather, and I love the holidays. Even though the classical meaning of the holidays doesn't mean shit to me, I still enjoy going through the motions. Last night, for example, when my sister was over and we got wasted shitfaced-ed, we managed to create our thanksgiving list of dishes and supplies needed. Basically a variety of preparations of squash and tons of booze, haha. I can't wait!! This year we are gonna throw down a traditional meal, with a real turkey. Last year we had a southern food thanksgiving and I made pulled pork and cornbread. This year should be awesome: I am hoping we can find time to go out to Sauvie Island for the farmer's market, they have the best pumpkins. My plan is to carve a jack-o-lantern and save all the innards for cooking. So delicious.
Also I have a plan for fun halloween haircolor... but no plans at all for x-mas. That's kind of a boring holiday anyway.
