Today turned out to be a wonderful day for me. I mean, comparatively speaking. I went to hang out for a bit at the salon I start working at next week, and I ended up staying for like 2 hours. I was having such a good time meeting and chatting with the stylists and learning about the goings-on, the time just flew by. Which bodes very well for me! It means time goes by really quick in that place, and also that everybody there is friggin awesome. I am so excited!
Then I came home to my gumbo in the crock pot making the whole place smell deliciously, and Josh was already home from work. Oh yeah, on the walk home from my new job I noticed a beautiful flower in someone's yard, looked at it for a bit, and then realized that I already have that particular flower at home! And mine is actually bigger than that one. Yay. It was a calendula, by the way.
I start my exciting new job on monday. Josh gets paid tomorrow. The boss lady today was very excited for me to have punky colorful hair. This weekend we will develop a new scenario for my hair to be awesome, I am thinking I want "blood red" in my bangs to compliment the black stripes and the blue-purple fading pieces. I have insane plans to get new flora up in here, I want to do a tomato and some edible herbs, some new flowers of course, and that one big-leaf tropical thing I have seen around the neighborhood that I love. Maybe I will buy a food thermometer so I can finally make the home-made turkish delight I have been lusting after.
