Last sunday, I brought Kenneth to Epicurious for Part Two ( thanks Jac for the recommendation! ) of his vday gift. The sun was blazing and the heat was really unbearable and we had to wait quite awhile for our food to arrive but it was all worth the wait. The pancakes arrived, looking all colorful with little chunks of strawbs and bananas atop them, and icing sugar was drizzled over it for the finishing touch. They were soooo fluffy and light! Bestest pancakes I've had so far, even better than Cedele's blueberry pancakes. Then the Egg Benedict arrived. It was so good. I kept stealing the potatoes off Kenneth's plate because they were so yummy!! Because I think I attacked my food with such fervour and enthusiasm, I was filled to the brim after polishing off everything so we decided to give the Choco-nana sandwiches a miss. Definitely going back. Qi, shall we go eat together? :)
Anyway this is Part One of his present - green tea cookies :) These, like the sugar cookies I made for the hubbers two christmases ago were super tedious to make as well. Had to painstakingly roll the dough out in different batches and cut the dough out as carefully as I can without breaking the shapes. Was perspiring like a cow throughout. The first batch was charred, and though the cookies tasted fine, I was still super frustrated and sad because I had to entertain my aunt's maid and hence, couldn't keep watch at the oven.... Thank God the second batch turned out great :)
Desserts at I Caramel on sat night, after Flea Fly Flo Fun with Jacinthhh :) Thought it was quite a success but I just missed registration for the March's slot cause I was busy studying for my test and completely forgot about it. Peeved. Anyway, they had such a wide selection and I was spoilt for choice. The cakes were yummers and much more worth it than the ones at Bakerzin.
Okay, back to my notes.
