Lister: An Ideal Friend

If you could go out to dinner with a character from a current TV show, who would you choose, and why?
Scratch the current part, tonight I would want to go to a bar with Dave Lister, (aka Listy) from Red Dwarf.
Why? Because I've always thought he would make an ideal friend. He is the kind of person who lights up a room and doesn't take life too seriously. The perfect person to forget your troubles with, and just have fun.
He would definitely bring out my own silly side, and we would be a pair of happy drunks playing off each other, laughing all night.
If that one quiet serious moment came later in the night, he would be a good listener (he even comforted his frenemy Rimmer when he was down) compassionate, and would offer surprisingly profound advice, then would find some way to make you smile again.
