ok..i guess i have a good deal to talk about..lets see here

saw an indie movie "me and you and everyone we know". good movie about life in general and relationships. little kid(brandon ratcliff) in it was really funny (my entry subject has to do with it..go watch the movie and find out what it refers to)

this kid is soo cool, and i really want that pin that hes wearing(look familiar?): brandon ratcliff from "me and you..."
(i cant figure out how to get the picture directly on here..so eh)

i then saw war of the worlds that same day. again, i liked it, but i thought it had its problems. for instance, tom cruise...problem. the necessary take off his shirt shot was there, as it is in almost all of his movies. and idono, he just doesnt come off as real to me
i thought, unlike justin, that dakota fanning was overacting way too much. given, for her age, she has alot of talent(god knows nicole kidman overacts just as much, if not more than fanning and shes what, at least 25 years older?), i was still annoyed by some of the things she did in the movie.
also, parts of the movie just pissed me off(i know, its a science fiction movie on how aliens attempt to destroy the human race..its not supposed to be 100% real. and also, i hate people who point things about movies out, but i feel like i have to here)..things like the supervan that can drive through any kind of debris imaginable, cruise's unbelievable alien ray dodging skills, and the fact that the water in his apt still worked after everything(including cars and planes) stopped working.
finally, as justin said, the movie ended too abruptly..but all in all...good movie, entertaining, go see it.

moving on..spent 4th of july at the hollywood bowl's annual fireworks thing, where this time, they celebrated disney's 50th anniversary, which was pretty cool...barring a few things that annoyed me:
1) families who all wore the same shirt/color...ugh
2) people in large groups who demand on sitting in the exact seat that their ticket says and because of this, make everyone in the group move around to accommodate that one person.
3) the little girl sitting behind me who apparently knows nothing else but every fucking color in the rainbow..see..at the hollywood bowl, there are different colored lights that flash during the show...every fucking time a color would change..this girl would say something stupid like "oooo.....blue and purple"....or "oooo....red and pink"...wow did it get annoying..during intermission..i seriously thought she was going to have a seizure or something when they brought out one of the electrical light parade props(the turtle had like 5 or 6 different colored lights on it..)
4) the same little girl who kept kicking the back of my chair..and for that matter..anyone at any event that kicks or touches the back of your chair..does the person sitting behind you seriously not think that youre going to feel his/her fucking foot slamming on the back of your chair?...now given, the girl tonight was young..ill give her the benefit of the doubt..she was in some sort of color trance...but the guy at the war of the worlds movie...god..he musta been at least 35....sigh
5) the asian mother/son combo sitting to the right whos husband/father apparently is in the hollywood bowl orchestra. god damn it...ok..its one thing to be excited for him....its another thing, however, to not know english, not know any of the words to disney songs...and yet still attempt to sing every fucking song...if they werent singing..they were talking about something(idono..all i could make out was the word "beautiful" every once in a while)
6) the sound of 17,000+ ppl singing its a small world, which will forever be ingrained in my head...feel sorry for me.
lets see..i do believe thats it...but all in all..good night...got to hear an orchestra..viewed a performance by the guy who actually wrote alota the songs for disneyland..and saw a pretty cool fireworks show in the end.

ok..i hafta be up at like 8.30..ugh
