after many years yearning for one...
i finally purchased my very own sewing machine!
i'm quite thrilled about it. :)
having zero knowledge on this, it'll take me awhile to familiarize myself with this machine and actually enjoy using it.
last nite, it took me an hour trying to figure out how to oil it and wind the little spool!
now i'm figuring out how to thread the lower bobbin, and it's a bit challenging. i'm all kinds of confused with the parts. :(
i wanted to do this for a long time, and i'm looking forward to many sewing projects.
i actually want to make this for halloween!
but the girl version in a hot blue mini dress. ;)
i can pretty much get the dress pattern, ears, and accessories at ebay.
the wig is going to be hard to find, so i'll have to improvise. i have until oct anyways.
i'm excited! hopefully, it doesn't look like a blue potato sack.
i still need to make a post on my trip to the mother land. i have the pics uploaded, but i really wanted to have my travel log to go with it. i need to get on that...
not much going on with me. just wanted to rave about my splurge. :) i've been proud of myself for being consistent with saving money, so i figured i'd buy myself a present. i even bought some audio treats: sunny day real estate, broken social scene, & ambulance ltd <3333 :) i kinda eased up on working 17 hrs of overtime at work, just to give myself a breather. soon, i'll have to get back on that if i want my car before the new year.
i'm scared this week at work might end up in complete chaos due to hurricane ernesto. they had a memo of possible mandatory overtime.
