What do I do with my laptop that has turned to utter crap? The internet connection has gotten increasingly worse-- even if I sit in the actual room that all the computer stuff is in, my laptop will STILL disconnect from the internet. I used to get perfect connection in my room, which is the furthest from the computer room

Is it overall slow? Try a disc clean up.

It's not slow really at anytime. It's just the internet and trying to turn it off. How do I do a disk clean up? What about defragmentation? I've tried looking but I don't know where to find those.

I occasionally do a 'disk clean up', it clears the computer of temp files, used internet pages and other crap. I'll try to explain where it is since my Windows is in Norwegian:p Go to Start > Accessories > System tools* and there should be a 'disk clean up' thing there, not the 'disk fragmenting' thing. Choose harddrive C and follow the instruction. Computer will be slow and this will take a while, but might clear 5GB of crap away like it does for me.

ohhh yeah : ) I totally forgot about that. Yeah - you are totally right, that's a good thing to do from time to time. It manages a lot of different files and can be pretty darn useful - most of note, it clears away unnecessary files that show up from browsing the web.

Good thinking Krepander - this is certainly a useful tool.
